North East Wing Chun Student Association

The North East Wing Chun Student Association began as a private, non-commercial training group in 1996. It was known at that time as the  Rochester Wing Chun Student Association. The group was founded by Kathy Jo Connors and Mark Stoddard, both long term, highly dedicated students of the martial arts. Their search for a physically and intellectually stimulating art form and the true essence of Wing Chun was found in the teachings and hands-on instruction  of Chung Maannin (Kenneth Chung).  

 Mark and Kathy Jo have focused their personal efforts towards growing a Wing Chun  community in Western New York.  The mission of the group remains the practice and preservation of Wing Chun as taught by Yip Man, Leung Sheung, and Kenneth Chung.  Through Ken's hands-on teaching, emphasis is on  the constant refinement, patience, practice  and precision that is inherent within his training philosophy.

 The North East Wing Chun Student Association is honored and proud to be a part of the Leung Sheung Wing Chun lineage.  It has been the group's privilege and duty to help carry on that tradition through its work with Ken.
